Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor degree in Economics/ Accounting/ International Business/ Business Administration
- 2 years working experience within a Trading Company / Financial institution having gained a basic understanding of the principals surrounding Trade Finance instruments and their pitfalls.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)
- Accurate & precise
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Highly motivated, able to meet tight deadlines
- Team Player
- Advanced English level
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring timely processing of Cargo payments together with managing cash positions with the Banks.
- Closely work with internal Finance and Operations teams to ensure that our physical logistical requirements are in alignment with financial and risk considerations
- Liaising with Banks in order to finance the transactions on a bilateral basis and being able to answer any relevant questions from the financing banks.
- Release and stock management, exposure monitoring and weekly m2m of any storage positions.
- Handling Bank Reconciliations and closing all outstanding items
- Performing a detailed review of the data to be included in reports to be sent to the Banks.
- Timely and accurate reporting to various financing banks.
- Liaising with operators regarding deal specifics and authorizing sales only after security is in place.
- Checking of contracts for workability from finance perspective to reduce performance and financial risk.
- The reception/checking and distribution of shipping documents – including the allocation and dispatch of such documents to our trading counter-parts / financing banks.
- Preparation of various reports for finance management and banks.
- Keeping the in house system updated with information regarding the trades being financed.
