Main Purpose:
To ensure proper operation of TC vessels and maximize performance – time charter equivalent (TCE), following global standards and International regulations at all times.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
- 2-5 years’ office experience within Tanker operations
- Undergraduate degree or higher
- Sea experience in Tankers preferable
- Strong business acumen and commercial approach
- Ability to work in a multinational challenging, fast paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to speak/write fluent English
- High IT system literacy
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake voyage planning to meet international regulation and respond to vessel issues
- Handle bunker optimisation
- Review stowage planning
- Coordinate Agency appointments
- Provide Voyage Orders to vessels
- Monitor vessels performance during all voyages i.e.speed and consumption, and handle tank cleaning optimization
- Handle questionnaires, certificates, LOI’s and all relevant supporting docs
- Vetting
- Update company’s software with required data
- Working with internal and external counterparties to ensure the smooth management of ongoing operations, including pre and post operations activities
Key Relationships and Department Overview:
The Shipping Operations department manages one of the world’s largest Time Charter fleets in the world, handling all aspects of Time Charter vessel operations for the company, across liquid and gas tankers.
The department is part of the broader Energy Operations division which executes on physical trades, a long-term business where strategic investments in storage and logistics capabilities around the world are central to our business model.
This role reports directly to the Shipping Operations Manager based in Houston.
