Main Purpose:

Drive the technological modernization of the refinery by acting as a bridge between the IT department and the operational areas of the business. The primary function will be to identify improvement opportunities through digital solutions that optimize processes, improve efficiency, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand industrial business processes and operational needs to align digital solutions with the companyโ€™s strategic and operational goals.

  • Serve as a key liaison between IT/OT and operational areas (Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics), promoting collaboration and integration for the effective implementation of technological solutions.

  • Lead digital transformation projects, including automation, process digitalization, data integration, traceability, and technological enhancements that contribute to the plantโ€™s efficiency and competitiveness.

  • Gather and analyze functional requirements, translating business needs into clear technical specifications for the IT team to ensure proper development and implementation of solutions.

  • Participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technological platforms such as ERP systems, IoT solutions, and advanced analytics tools that bring value to the business.

  • Coordinate and carry out functional tests, validations, and training for key users, ensuring adoption and proper use of newly implemented technologies.

  • Contribute to the industrial cybersecurity and operational continuity strategy, ensuring the protection of critical plant systems and operational resilience against potential contingencies.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronics, Automation) or technical education.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital transformation projects, with strong interaction with IT areas.

  • Desirable technical knowledge in industrial systems (SCADA, MES, PLCs, industrial networks).

  • Strong skills in process analysis, systems thinking, and project management.

  • Ability to interpret business processes and integrate them with innovative technological solutions.

  • Advanced English level (spoken and written).

  • Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
